Laurie Boschman #16
The first captain in Ottawa Senators history, Laurie Boschman wound up closing out his NHL career as a member of the 1992-93 NHL expansion team.
The ninth overall pick in the 1979 NHL Entry Draft (by the Toronto Maple Leafs) played more than 1,000 NHL games with five different teams, most notably the Winnipeg Jets, and racked up 2,260 penalty minutes in his 16 seasons.
Boschman is one of only sixteen players in NHL history to have recorded 500+ points and 2000+ PIM’s in their career.
Boschman is now the director of Hockey Ministries International in Ottawa.

Shean Donovan began his hockey career playing minor hockey in Timmins, Sault Ste Marie and then with Ottawa Valley Titans while living in Carleton Place, Shean played 1 year with Kanata Lasers in the C.H.L before being drafted by the Ottawa 67’s . He played 3 seasons with the 67’s recording 196 points in 225 games. Shean was drafted by the San Jose Sharks 28th overall in 1993. During his NHL career Shean has recorded 242 points in 951 games. Regarded as one of the fastest skaters in the game, the defensive forward has recorded 10 shorthanded goals. He has played for San Jose, Colorado, Atlanta, Pittsburg, Calgary, Boston and Ottawa in the NHL. In 2003-2004 with Calgary Shean scored 10 points during an exciting playoff run to the seventh game of the finals which was lost to Stanley cup champs Tampa Bay. Shean won the gold medal for Canada in Red Deer with the World Juniors in 1995 and won gold in Finland with the Canadian World Championship Team in 1997. |
